After visiting good friends in the Costa Blanca area of Spain in 2019, I fell in love with the area and did contemplate moving there lock, stock and barrel. But having bought a property in the UK, in November 2020 I completed on a 20,000sqm plot of rural land there.
It is basically a side of a mountain and has the old Moorish terraces still there.
Plans are to level a couple of terraces and build an off-grid eco house. I will chronicle the build here.
Due to Covid and as there is much work to do on my UK property and the need to really sell up in Bulgaria first, plans have been put on hold for a bit.
